Your Assignment

Matthew 25:21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

All God is seeking from us is faithfulness to Him. He doesn’t care how successful we are or how much we accumulate here on earth. Nothing of this world matters in the Kingdom of God.

What does matter is what we do with what we’ve been given and how well we listen and obey the Voice of God.  He has provided everything we need to fulfill His Purpose for our lives. It is His Purpose that is important. We make plans of our own, but they are all for naught in the Eyes of God. All that is wasted time and effort in our short lifespan here on earth.

Our soul and spirit will live eternally in one of two places: Heaven or Hell. This is a fact we don’t hear preached about or taught very much in church anymore. Nevertheless, it is the truth.

God’s Will is for every person to live eternally in Heaven. Unfortunately, most people will not. None of us deserve this Reward, but God will give it to us anyway if we only believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, and remain faithful to Him during our lives.

We remain faithful to Him by constantly seeking His Plan and Purpose for us individually. Just as in the Parable of the Talents, we are all given a certain assignment to begin with. If we are faithful to complete this, we will be given another and then another. Each assignment will require greater faith on our part.

As we faithfully complete our assignments, the Lord God reveals His Ability to Provide and Protect us along the way. With each assignment, our faith should increase, making the next assignment easier to take on.

Whatever the Lord has called you to today, step out into that assignment in total faith in Him. You can never do it on your own, but God can. Nothing is impossible for Him, and He wants to show you just how magnificent He is. When you take that first step in faith, you will be amazed at what the Lord God can do. At that point you will hear, Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.

Taking that step in faith will…...…turn the tide …….in your life.

Faithfully His,     Doreen
