Ephesians 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the Riches of His Glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

Recently, we have been discussing the demonic spirit of fear and how it robs us of the Benefits of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind. It is a fact that when a person becomes overwhelmed with fear, they lose all strength, the ability to love, and will eventually become mentally unstable. Ultimately, fear will kill a person.

Jesus described this perfectly when He said, The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

The thief is Satan, and his ONLY goal is to steal, kill, and totally destroy every believer and the entire Kingdom of God. Our faith in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified is our defense against every attack of Satan. He is all we have, and more importantly, He is all we need.

God communicates with us Spirit to spirit. The Holy Spirit of God is the one who speaks to our spirit, the inner man. When we “hook up” with God, Spirit to spirit, we will be led by the Holy Spirit of God, who will strengthen us. God does not tempt people. Satan tempts people. God allows us to be tempted by Satan to test our faith, just as Jesus was tempted in the wilderness.

The Apostle Paul went through a lot during his life as a Christian. His words to the Ephesians are a powerful testimony, but to get the full impact, let's look at the entire Passage in the Third Chapter. It’s quite the run-on sentence, but try to look beyond a single phrase and consider his whole thought. It’s long, but take it phrase by phrase and ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding.

In regard to his own trials and tribulations, Paul wrote:
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
from whom the whole family in Heaven and earth is named,
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His Glory,
to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—  to know the Love of Christ which passes knowledge;
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
(Ephesians 3:14-19)

The Apostle Paul passed the test. He understood that it didn’t matter what he was called to endure as long as he was continually led by the Spirit of God and stayed focused on Jesus and the Cross. He knew that his testimony of faith would not only see him through but speak to believers then and in generations to come. That includes us today. Hallelujah!

Paul was just a person like you and me. Paul withstood test after test, and he never took his eyes off the Prize: Christ Jesus. You may be going through a horrible test right now, but let Paul set the example for you to follow. Stay in the Pasture. Keep your eyes on the Cross of Christ. Trust in the Victory Jesus won on the Cross for you. Place your faith solely in Him and lay that burden at His Feet. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your inner man and lead you that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Understanding the Victory Jesus won will...........turn the tide ..........in your life.
