1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

At the moment we receive Christ as our personal Savior and Lord, we enter the Pasture of Plenty through the Gate named Jesus. Immediately upon entering, we receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit of God within us. We instantly become the Temple of God, which is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.

Every believer is the Temple of God; the Tabernacle; the Dwelling Place of the Holy Spirit. If you don’t give place to the Holy Spirit in your heart and life, you have closed the door on the Temple of God like a locked-up, empty church building. This is the case in many churches today. The building exists, and people may come and go, but there is no power inside because the Holy Spirit has been banned.

The Church is not a building. Believers are the Church; the Body of Christ; the Temple of God; the Dwelling Place of the Holy Spirit. Many Christians work hard to build and maintain a structure they call their church, but discount the spiritual condition of themselves, which is the Temple of God.

No building will go to Heaven. Only believers are Saved and will go to Heaven. I am not saying we should not care for and maintain our church buildings, but our emphasis should be on our own Temple. God cares about you, not your buildings.

Take some time to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show you where your Temple needs repair and cleaning up. Are you spending your Sundays at The Cross in the center of the Pasture of Plenty and Monday through Saturday with your head through the fence?

God wants all of you, every day. He wants to meet you at the Cross and stay with you all day long. There, the Holy Spirit will fill you to overflowing and the fence will be a distant place where you used to go but don’t want to go anymore.  Paul said, For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.

Turning your back on the fence will..........turn the tide ........in your life.

Staying away from the fence,      Doreen
