Redemption

Psalm 103:2-4 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction,

Have you ever redeemed a coupon at the store? If you have some understanding of the meaning of redemption. You give the cashier the coupon, and in turn, they give you the discount. You never have to pay it back. You can walk out of the store with the merchandise in hand, having paid for it by way of the redemption of the coupon.

However, you must have the coupon in hand in order to redeem it for its value. You cannot use the coupon presented by the person in line in front of you. You must have your own coupon. When you personally present the coupon to be redeemed for the discount, goods, or service, you receive it with no questions asked.

The product or service is now yours to keep. You will never be asked to pay for it again because it has already been paid for. The redemption value of the coupon never runs out.

The Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary is our ultimate “coupon.” Just imagine having a single, universal coupon for everything you could ever want or need. Whatever it may be, just present the coupon for redemption, and it’s yours for free and forever! How wonderful would that be?

That’s exactly how wonderful the believer's Benefit of Redemption is, but wait just a minute! How many times have you gone into the store to purchase something, had a coupon in your wallet, and forgotten to use it? When you get out to the car, you realize that you just lost out on an opportunity to redeem a coupon and save some money or receive an item for free. I have done this so many times, and I think, oh well, I will use it next time.

This is the way so many Christians live every day. They possess the most powerful “Coupon” ever, and they never present it for Redemption in this life. That is so sad. We must learn the Source and Power of Redemption and live our lives as Redeemed if we want to experience the Abundant Life Jesus died for us to have.

This is powerful if you can just wrap your mind around this lifestyle of being born again and REDEEMED! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction,

Understanding the Benefit of Redemption will........turn the tide........in your life.

Redeemed and cashing in!          Doreen
