Galatians 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
For freedom…..Christ has set us free. Jesus Christ was crucified so we can enjoy freedom from bondage and slavery. Over the past month, we have been celebrating the freedom we know and enjoy in America. Without Christ, there is no freedom. This is true in the individual believer and for an entire nation.
It is on this premise that America was founded. For the past 249 years, the majority of politicians and government leaders in America have had some knowledge and understanding of this. I doubt that this is still the case today. As we listen to those seeking political office, we hear little to nothing of the Word of God.
A great deal of the focus today is to satisfy the wants and needs of special interest groups who are diametrically opposed to God and His Word. These groups represent an extremely small percentage of our population, and yet they are being heard loud and clear. Why? Because they are loud!
Jesus met the needs of special interest groups as well. He ministered to the spiritually lost, the bruised, infirmed, burdened, and the demon-possessed. As Christians, we are called to be like Jesus was. We too have been gifted and called to minister to the spiritually lost, the bruised, infirmed, burdened, and the demon-possessed and oppressed. This is NOT done through government programs and assistance.
Christians used to be the most powerful voting group in America. We can be once again, and it needs to happen this year. Christians are to vote Biblical Principles. We need people in political office who stand with us, not against us. Jesus Christ is ridiculed in America because Christians are not taking a stand for Him and speaking His Name.
America is STILL one nation under God; the ONE TRUE GOD! Not allah or budha or any other false, generic god. America was founded on the Principles set forth by God Almighty, the Creator of Heaven and Earth; the Heavenly Father, His Son, the Holy Spirit and the statutes set forth in His Holy Word.
Jesus is the answer to the needs of every person in every special interest group in America and around the world. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the Path to Freedom. He is the Door to the Holy Spirit, who is the Power Source of God Almighty. He is the Gatewy to EVERYTHING! Our Founding Fathers knew this and lived their lives to prove it.
To live in this manner takes faith; great faith in Jesus Christ; Who He is, What He did on the Cross, and what He is still doing today. Faith, faith, faith! Do you have enough faith in Jesus Christ to take a stand against the enemy America faces today? Most Christians will answer that question, “Yes.” but do nothing.
The Word of God says, Faith without works is dead. (James 2:20) We must put our faith to work. Now is the time to walk out your faith. We must be doers of the Word. (James 1:22) We have sat in the back row pew long enough. It’s time to reclaim America for Christ!
Question: Where would America be if our Founding Fathers sat silently in the back row pews of their churches?
