Peace, Joy, And Happiness

Psalm 1:1-4 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and on His Law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

When God created the universe and everything in it, He put in place a distinct Order for everything about it. God’s Plan for all people is good. He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans not to harm you but give you a future and a hope.

God’s Will for every person is to come to the Knowledge of the Truth in His Word, be Saved and Born Again, assured of their eternal destiny in Heaven with Him. His Will is also for people to live long, happy lives filled with Joy and Peace during their natural life span here on earth.

God has put in place the Perfect Plan and Order for every person to attain all this. This Plan and Order can be found in God’s Word, the Bible. When people read, study, and understand God’s Plan and Order for life and living, it is much easier to make the choice to follow God and be obedient to Him.

God’s Plan pertains to every aspect of all His Creation. God created people to be relational. We live a life filled with relationships. From our family to our spouse, friends, business partners, brothers and sisters in Christ, and acquaintances, people know other people and enter into relationships.

This is God’s Plan BUT God’s Word gives some strict warnings about whom we are to be in a relationship with. This is a HUGE part of God’s Plan for our peace, joy, and happiness. Who we choose to enter into a relationship with will absolutely affect the quality of our lives.

The slightest interaction with people can greatly influence our lives. A mere acquaintance can make a suggestion or display a certain behavior that will cause us to change our perspective on something. This is why God’s Word says, Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” (1 Corinthians 15:33)

King Solomon wrote on this subject in the Book of Proverbs. The following are a few examples: Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. (Proverbs 13:20)

Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare. (Proverbs 22:24-25)

Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge. (Proverbs 14:7)

Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked. (Proverbs 25:26)

A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good. (Proverbs 16:29)

God wants to bless us. He wants us to live happy, healthy, wise, and prosperous lives. Our earthly relationships play a huge part in this. Those we choose to associate with will influence our lives. No one is perfect, but choose carefully those with whom you associate.

God's Plan and Order is perfect. Only He can…........turn the tide

In awe of Him,      Doreen
