Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The great Apostle Paul spoke these words, and he believed them. He knew the Power of God through his faith in Christ was beyond anything he could imagine. Paul “knew” this, and he “believed” it, but what made the difference in his life is that he “spoke” it. He proclaimed what he believed, and if we want to do great things for God and His Kingdom, we must do the same.

Paul was a passionate man. Whatever he did, he did it with passion. Prior to his salvation experience, he was a great and powerful warrior AGAINST the Church. He hated Christians, and he persecuted and killed a great number of them. Then, he met Jesus on the Road to Damascus, and everything changed. He still had that same passion, but now his passion was redirected TOWARD Christ and the Church instead of AGAINST it.

God seeks passionate people who will give their all to Him and His Kingdom. When we are passionate about something, we can’t help but talk about it everywhere we go. The subject of our passion is who we really are. If our passion is in our family, we talk about our kids and grandkids to everyone who will listen. If we are passionate about our work, we discuss our job everywhere. People who are passionate about sports talk about sports all the time.

Jesus said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. The keyword here is FIRST. God wants us to be so passionate about Him that He is the FIRST thing we think about and the most prevalent topic of our conversation. He wants us to be passionate about Him. He wants to be the subject of our passion.

Passion produces confidence. When we are passionate about our faith, we become confident in what God can and is doing in our lives.  Faith builds passion and passion builds faith, and as the two grow, they both produce confidence, loyalty, and power.

What are you passionate about? What do you have faith in? Where does your confidence lie? To whom or what are you loyal?

When the answers to these questions are Christ, we can then say with confidence, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

When the Kingdom of God is the subject of our passion, He will…...….turn the tide

Feeling confident,      Doreen
