2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, Who commanded light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts to give the Light of the Knowledge of the Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ.
For the past few days, we have been discussing the place called the Glory of God. In this state of euphoria we feel the magnificence of God and experience Miracles, Signs, and Wonders.
The world is a dark, cruel place filled with sorrow, heartache, and despair. People search for an escape from the world and all its problems. Millions turn to alcohol and drugs (both legal and illegal) as a means of escape. Food, sex, sports, television, pornography, politics, and work can all be used to escape the problems of this world. Anything that is used to take the mind off reality would fall into this category.
God wants us to come to Him as our means of escape from the dark, cruel world. He desires His Children to find everything they need in Him. He can be our everything if we go to Him for everything.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that if God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness (Genesis 1:3), created the sun, moon, and stars to bring light to the universe, surely He shines His Light in our hearts and transforms us from the darkness of the world to the Light of the Knowledge of the Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ.
Jesus declared Himself to be the Light of the world. Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the Light of Life.” (John 8:12)
If your world is closing in around you and your life is filled with heartache and despair, seek the only True Light. This is found ONLY in the Glory of God. It is not a temporary escape but rather the knowing deep down inside that God loves you and will see you through.
In the midst of the darkest hour, enter into His Presence and ask the Lord to allow the Light to shine. This is the Light of the Knowledge of the Glory of God. Once you have experienced the Glory of God, you have the Knowledge of the Light, and as Paul said, the ONLY source is in the Face of Jesus Christ.
The Light of Life will...........turn the tide…........in your life.
