Matthew 6:33 Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
Your many responses to the Morning Message yesterday have compelled me to spend one more day on the subject of the Benefits of Comfort, Companionship, and Care.
God never said losing someone you love would be easy. It’s not easy. It’s hard; VERY hard at times. However, God wants us to seek HIM for all our needs, not another person.
The Benefits in our Believer’s Benefit Package are far too many to count, but they are all there for us IF we will accept them from God.
Jesus promised to send the Comforter who would never leave us. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; (John 14:16) Jesus kept that Promise. The Holy Spirit is that Comforter and is always in our midst.
He is there to bring Comfort, Teaching, Guidance, and Counseling. He is everything we need, but we have to accept Him. To know the Comfort of God, we have to SEEK His Comfort and accept it. We have to SEEK His Teaching and learn from it. We have to SEEK His Guidance and follow it. We have to SEEK His Counsel and put it into practice in our lives.
God wants us to live full, enriched lives filled with His Holy Spirit, but we have to lay down our burdens and pick up His Benefits to do that. You CANNOT wallow in grief and self-pity and know the Joy of the Lord at the same time. Grief and self-pity are outside the fence of the Pasture of Plenty in Satan’s world.
The Lord God has the Comfort you need at this time. He is waiting for you to SEEK Him with all your heart and ACCEPT what He has for you. Today is the day to get up, turn around, go directly back through the Gate named Jesus, and make your way back into the Pasture of Plenty. Head straight for the Cross in the center and lay that burden of grief and despair at His Feet. Jesus defeated the power of Satan on the Cross. Grief and despair are the attacks of Satan. LAY THAT BURDEN DOWN!
Life is different after you lose your spouse. It’s not easy and it will never be the same. BUT, it can be good! It will be VERY good if you will accept the Comfort and Plan the Lord has for you NOW! God knows the plans He has for you; not to harm you but to bring you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) All you have to do is trust Him and SEEK what that Plan is.
Seeking God’s Plan will.........turn the tide........in your life.
Loving His Plan, Doreen
