Habakkuk 3:1-2 A prayer of Habakkuk the Prophet upon Sigionoth. O Lord, I have heard Your speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive Your Work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember Mercy.

Verse by verse, we have walked through the Prophetic Vision of the Lord given to Habakkuk in the year 626 B.C., which is recorded in Chapters 1 and 2 of his book. It’s not a pretty picture. As we described yesterday, it’s quite horrible.

And so it is today. The world is in turmoil in these last days. That which is wrong is seen as right. They are called evil, good, and good, evil. This too is prophesied in Isaiah 5:20. Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

God always speaks to His people. His Word is instruction for believers. There is very little in the Bible for the lost soul. The majority of His Instructions are about how to live for God and be pleasing to Him.

History repeats itself, and people make the same mistakes over and over again. Nations rise up against nations. People follow false teaching. The enemy attacks, and people fall into sin. We see this time and time again throughout the study of world history, and nothing has changed. We are living it again now.

In the year 1004 B.C. Solomon prayed for Mercy. God spoke to Solomon and said, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to Myself for a House of Sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if sent pestilence among My people; If my people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:12-14)

In the year 626 B.C., Habakkuk prayed for God to have Mercy. O Lord, I have heard Your speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive Your Work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember Mercy.

We have seen evil escalate in our lifetime, and the Lord is once again speaking to His people through His Word and Prophecy. The Lord God Almighty is in control of His Earth. The Call on His People is the same today as it was three thousand years ago. He is waiting for His People to rise up and respond in obedience to His Call.

In Solomon's time, God chose the Temple to be a House of Sacrifice. Today, He has chosen the millions of Churches around the world and every born-again believer (because we are the Temple of God) to be a place where the Sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, is the primary message and focus.

Redemption has always been about Sacrifice. If we expect God to respond in Mercy, we must honor His Sacrifice, lift up the Name of Jesus, and allow Christ to dwell within us as we abide in Him.

Jesus said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God nd His Righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) THEN……..He will heal our land.

The Message of the Cross of Christ will……..turn the tide

In Christ,         Doreen
