Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that works in us, to Him be Glory in the Church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Yesterday, we took a close look at a Passage of Scripture written by the Apostle Paul that spells out exactly what it means to live the life of a saved, born-again Christian. Somewhere along the line, Salvation has become nothing more than “fire insurance” against spending eternity in Hell, but God has so much for us here in this life.
Paul had it made in the world as a lost soul. He had money, position, and prestige, but he was headed straight for Hell. However, when Paul met Jesus on the Road to Damascus, he became a new creation in Christ, and he never looked back at the world he left behind.
Paul entered the Pasture of Plenty through the Gate named Jesus, and EVERYTHING about him was changed, including his name. Outside the Pasture, he was Saul. Inside, he became Paul, and he came to understand that the Power he now had was far greater than anything he had outside the Gate.
In my opinion, the Apostle Paul is one of the greatest examples of what it means to “live in Christ.” Life in the Pasture of Plenty has mountains and valleys where we are put under many tests, but when we take every test straight to the Cross of Christ and place our faith in the Victory Jesus won there, we discover the test is really no test at all!
Paul saw God do so many things in his life that he could easily write: Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, God is able to do far more than we can even imagine! The Holy Spirit of God is the Power Source that works in the lives of believers, but our ONLY access to that Power is through the Cross of Christ.
Without faith in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, we have no access to the Holy Spirit. Consequently, we have no power. We may have money, position, and prestige, but all that is worthless in the Eyes of God.
My friends, we each have to make a choice. Where are we going to dwell? Do we choose the world with all its evils or do we choose the Cross of Christ in the Pasture of Plenty where God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, ?
The test you are facing today is no test for God. You have struggled with it for a long time now to no avail. Nothing outside the world outside the fence can solve it. The only REAL Power to solve it is at the Cross of Christ. Get your head out of the fence, turn around, fix your eyes on the Prize (which is the Cross of Christ), and go there. Your Victory over this was won for you a long time ago. Today is the day to claim your Victory!
Faith in the Cross of Christ will........... turn the tide.........in your life!
