1 Corinthians 2:9 Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
The Benefits for the Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ are so many and magnificent that we cannot count them or begin to identify them. The Glory of God ushers in the Benefit of Hope.
Hope is the expectation of something to happen. It is also a source of trust. To hope in the Lord is to expect good things to happen and to totally trust in God for those things.
In what, or whom, do we place our hope? Do we trust a person or object for protection and provision? Do we place our hope in our education or our occupation? How about the stock market? What do we trust as our source for happiness? Who do we trust for companionship? Who do we trust for our health and well-being?
Every worldly answer to all these questions will eventually fail us. Nothing in this world brings real hope for anyone. We cannot place our full trust in anything or anyone because, at some point, they will let us down.
However, when we place our full hope and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, we will be able to respond as the Apostle Paul did when he quoted the Prophet Isaiah, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
Jesus said, And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. (Mark 12:30)
I pray this message will cause you to do some soul searching. You have the Benefit of Hope in your Believer's Benefit Package. What are you doing with it? Give God a try. Place your hope in Him. Trust Him for all your needs. He will never let you down.
