As we continue our consideration of the Benefit Package that is included with being a born-again Christian, we find added to Forgiveness, the Benefit of Healing.
The Word of God tells us that by placing your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, you are entitled to receive the Healing of ALL YOUR DISEASES. The Ministry of Jesus included the Healing of EVERY person who came to Him and believed in His Power to Heal them. No one was turned away, told to come back next week, or go to a doctor. No one was partially healed or treated for their infirmity. They were instantly healed by the Power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus.....period.
So why are there not more Christians healed today? Good question. Let's look at the account we find in the 9th Chapter of Mark. It reads: Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your Disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”
He (Jesus) answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.” Then they brought him to Him. And when he (the demonic spirit) saw Him (Jesus), immediately the spirit convulsed him (the child), and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.
So He (Jesus) asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
And he (the Father) said, “From childhood. And often he (the demonic spirit) has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
Healing is based on our degree of belief. We have all been given a measure of faith, but until we have the faith to believe God can and will heal us through the shed Blood of Jesus on the Cross, we will hold on to the demonic spirit of infirmity, which seeks to eventually kill us.
If you are suffering from the attack of a demonic spirit of infirmity, let the words of the child’s father be your prayer today. “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” This is a prayer the Lord God will ALWAYS answer! Hallelujah!
