Yesterday, we initiated a discussion on the beautiful Believer’s Benefit of the Glory of God, but what exactly is the Glory of God?
The Glory of God is the Awesome Presence of the Holy Spirit. Once we experience being in the Glory of God, we never want to be anywhere else. There is nothing quite like being in the Presence of God, and it’s not easy to explain.
The Glory of God is a euphoric state where all the cares of the world cease. In that place, there is no pain or suffering. Every problem (no matter how horrible it may be) is removed by the Glory of God. In that place, we know God loves us and is with us, and nothing else matters. It is overwhelming Peace, Comfort, and Calmness.
When the Glory of God falls, no one wants to leave. If you experience this by yourself, nothing else in the whole, wide world seems to matter anymore. The problematic situations of life are no longer your focus. The pain in your physical body subsides. You can think perfectly clearly because in this state, there is no confusion. Everything is absolutely perfect; nothing could be better.
In the Presence of the Holy Spirit of God, Satan and all his demonic spirits are banished. In this state, all pain, suffering, guilt, shame, stress, worry, anxiety, and jealousy. paranoia, pride, addiction, hatred, bitterness, unforgiveness, depression, arguing, judging, and loneliness just disappear. The Glory of God overrules and overtakes ANYTHING and EVERYTHING Satan attacks us with.
Geron and Becky Davis wrote a beautiful song about this place called the Glory of God. They titled it "In The Presence of Jehovah" and they must have been in His Presence when they wrote it. The following are the lyrics to this beautiful song:
